OPF supports and cooperates with overseas Pakistanis in CPEC projects, Barrister Amjad Malik - By: Syed Mussarat Khalil


Barrister Amjad Mahmood Malik, Chairman, Overseas Pakistanis Foundation (OPF), has assured full support and cooperation in the OPF to overseas Pakistanis who interested in investing in Pakistan, particularly in the China- Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) which will bring an economic revolution and change the life standard of the people of Pakistan.

According to a statement released by Consulate General Pakistan Jeddah on Saturday, barrister Amjad Malik said this while speaking at an interactive session of the delegation in Riyadh with the members of Pakistani community organized by the Embassy of Pakistan.
Manzoor-ul-Haque, the Ambassador of Pakistan, welcomed community members and the delegation including Barrister Amjad Malik and additional foreign secretary Dr. Irfan Yusuf Shami to the Kingdom.
Haque lauded the contribution of the Pakistani community in Saudi Arabia and emphasized the need to give consideration to the view of workers in Saudi Arabia and in the Gulf States while formulating rules and regulations for the overseas Pakistanis.
The OPF Chairman told that the Prime Minister of Pakistan has given him instructions to ensure the welfare of expatriate Pakistanis.
He urged the participants to benefits from various schemes launched by the Foundation. The employees who get overseas employment through the protectorate of emigration are entitled to the benefits offered by the Foundation.
Meanwhile Members of the community discussed with the delegation matters related to the community including education of their children, health facilities and non- payment of dues to the workers of some companies.
Additional Foreign Secretary Dr. Irfan Yusuf Shami also accompanied with chairman OPF. They held meetings with the community in Jeddah, Makkah, Madinah and Riyadh.
