Kashmir Day Celebrated at Tameer-e-Jannat: ( 2009-02-06)

Kashmir Solidarity Day was celebrated at Tameer-e-Jannat Science School, City of Education Ratwal on February 5 to express unity with the people of Kashmir. The Tameer-e-Jannat was established after the gruesome reality of October 8 earthquake. Majority of the students of the school are from the quake affected areas, especially Kashmir and Northern Areas.

The day started with prayers. The school was decorated with banners with slogans exhibiting solidarity to Kashmiris. The program was hosted by Hamid Mehmood, teacher from the same school whereas Qazi Manzoor Hussain, Principal TM Institute of Teacher’s Development was the president of the occasion. English and Urdu debates, tableaus and national songs were presented by the students.

Chairman Tameer-e-Millat Foundation, Dr. Zaheer Ahmad, along with the delegation of Shifa International Hospitals’ Ltd. physicians and staff attended the ceremony and appraised the enthusiasm of students.

The function ended with applause, leaving cheerful memories till the coming year.
