
First Aid Training Certificate distribution at Tameer-e-Millat School Health System
Jan 3, 2009: Certificate distribution ceremony was organized in Tameer-e-Millat City of Education (TMCE), Fatehjang by Tameer-e-Millat School Health System (TMSHS). First Aid Society (FAST) organized training both for male and female students and staff from October 25, 2008 to November 12, 2008. 24 students and teachers were given First Aid training and were given the title of “First Responders.” Total 14 male and 10 female were trained from all the four institutes of TMCE.
Cheif Guest of the occasion was Ms. Fatima Ghauhr from Maternal, Neonatal and Child Development, International Rescue Committee, PRIDE and the guest of honor was Dr. Eid Khattak, Deputy Superintendent School Health Officer, Tehsil HQ Hospital, Fatehjang.
The event started with recitation from Qur’an, followed by a welcome speech by a teacher, Maryam Rubab of Tameer-e-Millat Model School. The School Health Nurse, Muhammad Ishtiaq gave introduction of the Society. He told that the aim of establishment of the Society was to provide First Aid training to every student enrolled in TMCE and it would arrange such trainings annually. “The duty of the FAST was to develop training modules and first aid manuals,” Ishtiaq explained.
Ms. Fatima addressed the students and teachers telling them the importance of First Aid training for the benefit of society as well as for the people. Mr. Eid Khattak highlighted the importance of School Health System in today’s world. He showed keen interest in the working of School Health Unit and ensured the future cooperation of Tehsil HQs Hospital with Tameer-e-Millat Foundation.
Certificates and badges were distributed among the 24 First Responders.
