Rotary grant for artificial limbs

Members of Rotary Club of Lahore Garrison visited HOPE Rehabilitation Society, Lahore and donated a cheque of RS. 177,250.00 as an advance payment for the expenditure of providing artificial limbs to the needy with the aim to support the underprivileged. The Artificial Limb project is being done through The Rotary Foundation Matching Grant no. MG 58347 sponsored by Rotary Club of Lahore Garrison, Rotary Club of Chicago Far North and other Rotary partners. Rotary District Governor Elect Shehzad Ahmed, President Rotary Club of Lahore Garrison Shaheen Ahmad, Secretary Rtn. Raheela Malik, President Rotary Club of Sheikhupura Aarzoo Rtn. Iqbal Malik and other Rotary members participated in the distribution ceremony. Rotary Club of Lahore Garrison and Rotary International District 3272 comprising of Pakistan and Afghanistan are actively involved in humanitarian projects in literacy, provision of artificial limbs and healthcare programs. Provision of wheelchairs and more sewing machines have been planned for the coming year to help the underprivileged communities in Pakistan.
