Thanks to you - BY: Hayley Baker

Whenever we have a terrible year for human rights, we tend to have an amazing year of activism. And this year was no exception.

Over the last year, you helped change the world for the better. Thanks to the pressure of supporters like you:

Your overwhelming response to Noura Hussein’s story about forced marriage in South Sudan, helped to save her life from the death sentence last June.

You helped to encourage 15 countries across Latin America and the Caribbean to sign the Escazú Agreement. This law will help keep people who defend the environment safer from persecution.

Your contribution and public outcry pressured the Syrian, Russian and Turkish governments to prevent an imminent attack on Idlib which would have threatened the lives of millions of Syrians living in the area.

Many of you analysed thousands of abusive tweets as part of our Decoders online research project. You work has helped us to conduct an unprecedented large-scale analysis of abuse against women on Twitter.

These, and many more successes, is the result of having amazing supporters like you - millions of you came together to make this happen.

We want to celebrate, every single one of you! Watch this video of some of our supporters as they talk about a variety of successes they have contributed to over the last year.

We’d love you to make your own video and talk about your success with Amnesty in under 30 seconds.

We will feature your videos on Amnesty’s global website and share your 30 seconds of success with millions of other supporters around the world!

Sign up here to take part in this unique project and we will give some advice on filming and how to share it.

Thank you for another amazing year,
