METRO Cash & Carry Pakistan made donations to Govt. Boys Primary School, Madhoo Goth, Karachi
Karachi, Jan 20, 2010: Mr. Heinrich O. E. Birr, former President Asia Pacific of METRO Cash & Carry International & recently retired Vice President International Affairs of METRO Group, donated Furniture & Uniforms to approx. 500 under-privileged students of Government Boys School Madhoo Goth, Karachi, in a ceremony arranged here at the school premises.
Ceremony was attended and addressed by M. Siddique Memon, Secretary Education & Literacy, Government of Sindh, Mr. Heinrich O.E. Birr, Former President Asia Pacific of METRO Cash & Carry International & recently retired Vice President International Affairs METRO Group and Mr. Giovanni Soranzo, Managing Director METRO Cash & Carry Pakistan. Also were present at the occasion Mr. Pervaiz Akhtar, Director Corporate Affairs & Company Secretary METRO Cash & Carry Pakistan, Ms. Qurat ul ain Shahid, Manager Public Relations, METRO Cash & Carry Pakistan, Hani Ul Nasir, Store General Manager, MTRO Cash & Carry Safari Park, Karachi, EDO Karachi Mr. Karim Buxh Baloch & other dignitaries from education sector.
The objective of the activity was to reinforce the importance of discipline and to add value to the quality of life of the students of the school by providing furniture & uniform as basic items necessary for school decorum. Children were also given goodie bags & giveaways arranged by METRO Cash & Carry.
