Battle won, our movement gets stronger - Aam Aadmi Party

Dear Baqi, Rana,

It was India Against Corruption all over again! Thousands of Delhiites poured into the streets despite bus diversions, blockades and metro station closures. It sent a clear message to the PM that the people of Delhi are strongly behind their CM and Ministers sitting in the LG's waiting room since 11th June. They will not tolerate Delhi's development being stalled by the Centre. And the People Won!

Yesterday, the ministers' meetings on key issues were attended by all required officers resulting in purposeful discussions and action plans. A meeting with LG to discuss critical issues is still awaited.

Deputy CM Manish Sisodia and Health Minister Satyendra Jain, who had to be hospitalized after several days of fast, have recovered well and returned to work. Several pending projects need attention, officers and ministers will have to double down their efforts. As CM Arvind Kejriwal said last evening, 99% of the IAS are brilliant, dedicated officers and have been instrumental in bringing about the massive transformations in Health, Education, Electricity, Water, and social sectors.

It was reassuring to see a large number of political parties across India come out openly in support of our protest for Delhi's rights. Delhi's administrative structure issues are now well understood by everyone, and we hope to get similar support in our demand for Full Statehood. Once Delhi is a full state, Services, ACB, Police and Land would be under the state government, and it would be possible to comprehensively deliver unhindered development, public safety, and a better quality of life.

We deeply appreciate your standing by us in every situation, believing in our intentions and capabilities.

Jai Hind!

Aam Aadmi Party
