India has no right to celebrate its national festivals in disputed region: NF

Jammu Kashmir National Front has strongly condemned the arrest spree and harassment of people in nook and corner of the disputed region in the garb of the Indian republic day. The party has strongly reacted to the day to day search operations and insulting of woman folk and elderly citizens at the hands of the men in uniform in one pretext or the other. Appealing people to follow the programme already announced by the joint resistance leadership, National Front said that India has no right to celebrate its national festivals in the disputed region. The people of Jammu and Kashmir are yet to decide their political future so India must follow the principles of democracy and respect the disputed nature of Jammu Kashmir.

The party strongly reacted to the arrest spree ahead of the Jan 26 and said that it has become another tool of forces to fill jails and police stations. The party condemned the arresting of JKLF chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik, senior resistance leaders Bilal Sidiqui, Ghulam Ahmad Gulzar, Mohammad Yasin Attai and dozens of other leaders and activists.
